OMR Sheet Design with Alphanumeric Block

Alphanumeric means a mix of alphabets and numbers or numerical digits. Many schools, colleges and universities provide alphanumeric digits as their roll numbers or unique identity numbers for their students. Some examination committees require their candidates to mention their Pancard or Aadhar Card numbers, if they already do not have their details. These numbers are also a combination of alphabets and numbers.

As alphanumeric digits are quite commonly used for examinations and other important tests, it became necessary to add it in OMR sheets too. The Addmen OMR software has the capability of designing as well as reading OMR Sheets with Alphanumeric Blocks. Here, we have provided two OMR sheets that have alphanumeric blocks.

OMR Design with Alphanumeric Block

  • The above sheet is an OMR answer sheet used for entrance test for the Nigerian Police Academy.
  • The sheet begins with a section where the candidates have to write their name, batch, mobile number and test date.
  • This is followed by the roll number in the alphanumeric form. Candidates have to first write their roll number and then fill the blocks or bubbles accordingly.
  • There are eight columns in total and each column has A to Z blocks followed by blocks from 0 to 9. If the roll number of the candidate is AQ4568BC, the candidate has to mark A in the first column, Q in the second, 4 in the third, 5 in the fourth, 6 in the fifth, 8 in the sixth, B in the seventh and C in the eighth.
  • The rest of the sheet is a typical OMR answer sheet with multiple choice questions. There is also a section on instructions for filling the sheet.
OMR Design with Alphanumeric Block

  • This OMR sheet is designed for the use of a company for their recruitment process.
  • As the company does not know the details of the candidates appearing for the test, the hall ticket number of their graduation has to be used as identity or roll number for the test.
  • This number would be later used for tracking the candidate if he or she passes the recruitment test and fulfils the criteria for a particular job.
  • In this OMR sheet, there are ten columns for writing the hall ticket number. Each university has a different pattern for roll number. If your roll number is less than 10, say 6, you need to use only six blocks. You can leave the rest of the blocks blank.
  • This OMR sheet also asks for the students' mobile numbers, course details, marks achieved, etc. This is followed by an OMR answer sheet section of 80 questions.

OMR sheets with alphanumeric blocks can be designed using the Addmen OMR sheet design software. The software has the ability to read these blocks too.
