After you have downloaded the sheets, you can print them yourselves. You don’t need a customized printer to do so. A normal inkjet or laser printer can do the work for you. The only thing you have to make sure is that the index points are printed properly and clearly.

• Download any of the sheets samples from the available list.
• Print them using a normal inkjet, laser or any other printers available.
• Check if the index points on the sheets are printed clearly.
• Fill the sheets using pen or pencils.
• Scan the filled OMR sheet using a regular ADF or flatbed scanner.

How to Fill OMR Answer Sheets and Forms

OMR sheet contains circles or elliptical bubbles or boxes as response area and hence, they are also known as bubble sheets. Some precautions have to be taken while filling and handling the OMR sheets which we will look at briefly. These rules and precautions for marking OMR sheets are mentioned by the examination body separately.

Bubble Filling

• Use blue/black ball pen or HB pencil depending on the examination rules
• Ink pen must be avoided
• Best way is to first fill the bubbles in the OMR sheet completely. Then darken the respective filled bubbles one by one.
• Mark multiple answers only for MCQs or multiple choice questions
• Refrain from partial or overfilling the OMR circles.

Restricted Areas

• The basic elements of OMR sheets are its index points or timing tracks. Please do not mark or write on these areas of sheets.
• Don't use demarcated areas for rough work.
• Stray marks on the OMR sheets can lead to rejection.

Erasing

• Erasing is completely prohibited in case of bubble filling by pens
• While erasing a pencil mark, the erasure should be completely spotless because the OMR software is highly sensitive
• Use of whitener or blades is strictly prohibited.

Handling

• Avoid use of stapler, pins and punching machines to tie OMR sheets
• Do not tamper OMR sheets by crushing or folding.
